Christine is a 2002 Victor Central
School graduate, and a former member of both the Victor Swim Club
and the Girls Varsity Swimming Team. She went on to swim for
two years at SUNY Cortland where she obtained her bachelors
degree in Physical Education K-12. After college, in
2006-07 she served as a teaching assistant for the former
Aquatic Director Keith Shields and began her work as an
assistant coach with the Victor Swim Club, the Girls Varsity Swim
Team and the Boys Varsity Swim Team. In the fall of 2007, after
Keith Shields retired, Christine was hired as the Aquatic
Director/Physical Education Teacher in the pool area. During that
year she served as the Girls Varsity Swimming Assistant Coach
and the Boys Varsity Swimming Head Coach. During this past school
year, 2008-09, Christine has been the head coach for both the
Girls and Boys Varsity Swimming programs. She also served on
the Central Western Zone Physical Education Board as the Aquatics
representative.
Christine has a Masters degree is Exercise Science and Health
Promotion. This advanced training will allow Christine to
create and implement developmentally appropriate progressions and
benchmarks for all areas of our swimming and dry-land instruction.
Included in her graduate program studies were several courses in
educational and professional leadership. These courses have
given Christine the tools that are necessary to form a
cohesive coaching unit that will thrive on professional development
and one that listens and communicates authentically and effectively
with each other at all times.
"My vision for this club includes success in the swimming pool
through the continued competitive swimming education of each
member. However, I believe that it is as much or more important
that our swimmers learn the value of a healthy lifestyle, effective
time management skills, quality character traits and work ethic.
I look forward to the
coming season and the opportunity to continue the positive

J.J. comes to us after recently
moving to this area. He is a former Wyoming High School State
Champion, Junior National qualifier and swam for Brigham Young
University and University of Wyoming. His coaching history
includes Wyoming Swimming, Inc. as Head Coach and Coaches Rep. for
Wyoming Swimming House of Delegates; Laramie Swim Club, Head Coach;
Air Force Academy Falfins Swim Team, Head Age Group Coach; Gillette
Swim Team, Age Group Coach; and Missoula Aquatic Club, Head
Coach. He is a St. john Fisher graduate with a BS in
Accounting.
Kristy Shields
Head 8&Under Coach

Kristy has been a swim club coach since 2002 and the
8 & under head coach since 2007. She has a BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Early
Childhood Education/Special Education from Nazareth
College.
Her swimming career began with Victor Swim Club at the age of
9. She was a multiple Section Five champion in
individual events and relays, qualifying for States for 4 years and
is a school record holder at the Victor High School. Kristy
finished her swimming career at Washington & Jefferson College setting two school records and being a 2 time
Conference champion in the 200 fly and the 100 free as well as
relays during her 2 years. She has also been the assistant
coach for the Girls Varsity swim team since 2007. She has a
true love for the sport of swimming and stays current with stroke
technique and training strategies to ensure a high quality of
coaching.
Angie Baggett
Assistant Coach: 9&10 Age Group

Began
competitive swimming at age 5 for Marci Callan in Fairport. Developed into a Zone and
Junior National qualifier while swimming for FAST. Was a varsity swimmer in Fairport
for 4 years, 3 of them the team became NYS champions. Individually,
was Section 5 champion 3 years in the 50 free. Earned All American honors in HS
as well as 14 times in NCAA Div II while swimming for the
University at Buffalo.
While at UB, was an ECAC conference champion and record holder in
the 50 and 100 free.
Was runner up at NCAA Div II Nationals in ’89 and ’91
in 50 free. Twice UB
female athlete of the year. Held nine school records at
graduation. Inducted
into the UB athletic hall of fame in 1998.
Has a BS. in
Business Administration/Finance from UB. Currently enjoys volunteering in
the Victor schools and various sports and activities in which
children, Jillian and Mia are involved. Began coaching with VSC in
December 2008.
Lindsay Karl
Assistant Coach: All Age Groups

Lindsay started swimming competitively at age 11 when she joined
Victor Swim Club. She swam four years of Victor Girls Varsity and
continued swimming through her freshman year at RIT. She began
coaching VSC in September 2009. Lindsay graduated from RIT in May
2010 with a BFA in Photojournalism. She is starting her own
photography business photographing children, families and weddings.
Jenny Judge
Assistant Coach: All Age Groups

Jenny began swimming at age 10 with Victor Swim Club, and
continued swimming for the club until she graduated from Victor in
2006. She swam for the Girls Varsity swim team at Victor, and
went on to swim for SUNY Cortland for 3 years. At Cortland,
she coached for the Cortland Adapted Swim Team, a team dedicated to
providing an opportunity for kids with disabilities to swim
competitively. In May 2010, Jenny graduated from Cortland
with B.S. in Biology and a minor in chemistry. She is
currently working in a research lab in the Dermatology Department
at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
